The battery is fine so far (we are talking about the Dell Latitude E6430 laptop). At first, it did not want to work, i.e. the power supply did not charge it. I looked in the BIOS and saw that my power supply (even though it was charging the system fine) was not detected by the BIOS. The message in the BIOS displayed "AC Adapter unknown". I was surprised that I had a replacement instead of the original Dell power supply. Unfortunately, the original power supply cost 220 PLN. but I had to buy it to charge the battery. After connecting the original Dell power supply, the messages in the BIOS stopped appearing - the charger was detected and started charging the battery. So far the battery works fine - it's hard to say how it will behave, for example, in 0.5 years (it is supposed to last for about 3 years - we'll see, 1000 charging cycles :)), but for now it's fine. Note: This battery is a replacement (although they say good quality), which costs 350 PLN, the original battery for my Dell is 700 PLN, so it is twice as expensive. Therefore, it is a financial rarity. I've had it for a week so I can't say much. Regards, Marcin.

How can I extend the battery life of my laptop?

Just follow these 5 steps:

Avoid short charging times as the battery in our device has the number of charging times specified by the manufacturer.
Use batteries. Our rechargeable battery is designed for use. Continuous removal of the battery from the device does not have a positive effect on its condition.
Do not allow full discharge. Today's lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries are extremely sensitive to deep discharge. Repeated repetition of such a situation can cause irreversible damage to the battery.
Pay attention to the operating temperature. Temperature is an extremely important factor affecting the life of our battery. To ensure optimal temperatures, you should regularly clean your laptop's heat-dissipation system (with compressed air or a compressor) and avoid using the devices on soft surfaces (which can obstruct cooling vents).
Let the battery rest. If you plan to take a long break from using your laptop, remove the battery and place it in a dry, cool place. It is worth loading it to about 50% to avoid a complete discharge.

Is an 11.1V battery suitable if the previous battery is 14.4V?

The 11.1V battery is not used interchangeably with 14.4V and vice versa. This can cause permanent damage to your laptop. When choosing a new battery for your laptop, pay attention to the voltage at which the factory battery was. You can find this information directly on the battery.

Why are the batteries available in two versions, 10.8V and 11.1V, is that correct?
